Things to Keep in Mind

  • Time your journey right

Also, the snow on the lower grounds has melted. This helps in establishing a base camp. The Ponies can now reach Khullara Camp. This is helpful for cargo ferrying purposes.

  • Establish an Advance Base Camp

This is a commodity most Trek attendants and Trek drivers do not want to disclose. However, establish an advance base camp ahead of Khullara, if you want to maximize summit success. The equals of Advance Camp is 3.5 kilometres ahead of Khullara Camp.   • Make an early launch on Summit Day

You need to start no later than 3 am from Khullara Campsite. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach the peak. For those starting from Pangarchulla-ABC, start by 6 am.

  • Use Climbing Gear on Summit Day

A Micro Spike is a lighter version of crampons. They’re feather-light and easy to wear. They give excellent traction on slippery snow.
